Cancer Diagnosis (The i-Screen) |
|
Inanovate is developing a low cost, accessible (point-of-care) diagnostic platform for the early detection and monitoring of cancer. The platform, called the i-Screen™ combines three novel and proprietary components: - A nano-scale protein immobilization system on a disposable biochip substrate.
- A protein screening procedure that screens for biomarkers within patient samples in real time.
- Low cost, desk top hardware to process the disposable test.
By making accurate cancer screening available and affordable to everyone, the i-Screen™ will help move the healthcare industry’s focus away from expensive, painful and often inefficient late stage cancer treatment, towards early stage diagnosis and lower impact, lower cost therapies. The primary product of the i-Screen™ platform sold / licensed through diagnostic channel partners will consist of a disposable substrate and assay procedure that can be used by clinicians at the point of care. This will be supported by low cost, desk top hardware, that facilitates real time processing of the diasposable test. The i-Screen will begin regulatory approval procedures in early 2009, and will initially be combined with a proprietary set of biomarker content for the early diagnosis and monitoring of prostate cancer. Inanovate continues to seek collaborators and strategic partners to help integrate the i-Screen platform with biomarker content for alternative cancer conditions, including ovarian cancer and lung cancer. Please contact Inanovate's business development team if you would like to discuss collaborations on biomarker discovery and / or the validation or integration of existing cancer biomarkers.
